Rick Reichel is the Director of Global and Homeland Security Programs at the Savannah River National Laboratory, with responsibilities for programmatic support of the National Nuclear Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security, as well as several other federal agencies. He has been at the Savannah River Site for 28 years and held previous positions as the Waste Solidification Turnover and Startup Manager, the Spent Fuel Storage Facility Manager, the F-Area Area Operations Manager, the K-Area Plutonium Storage Facility Manager, and other management positions in Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance.

The presentation will include a brief discussion of SRNL's National Security Mission with a focus on the Department of Homeland Security and other agencies. SRNL capabilities and several recent projects will also be discussed.
