In November 2008, Doug Dearolph became Manager of the Savannah River Site Office, which manages the tritium program and other activities supporting the National Nuclear Security Administration. He has more than 30 years of experience in the nuclear and chemical-nuclear fields, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of South Carolina and a Masters in Business Administration from the Georgia State University.
Mr. Dearolph spent 11 years in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion program, completing both division officer and department head tours aboard nuclear submarines while supervising pressurized water reactor operations. He later spent three years with the Westinghouse Savannah River Company before joining DOE, where among other responsibilities, he supervised the K-Reactor Restart Program, the restart of F-Canyon Phase II, and the resumption of fissile material handling operations at the Oak Ridge Y-12 National Security Complex' enriched uranium oxide facility.
