Don Bridges is retired DOE Program Manager for SRS Nuclear Reactor Production Program, Tritium Program, and Nuclear Materials Disposition Program for cleanup of the DOE complex. In October 2007, Dr. Bridges participated in the "People-to-People Ambassador Program" that traveled to China to discuss and review nuclear technology.

Fifty-two professionals, primarily from the U.S., participated in the visit and the diverse group represented all geographical regions and all aspects of nuclear technologies. The presentation will address topics including current nuclear power infrastructure in China, plans for new nuclear power plants, and long-range plans for nuclear power development. Some of the sights of China will be featured as well.

Don graduated from North Carolina State University and received his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also retired in 1992 from the Naval Reserve Civil Engineer Corps, with the rank of Captain.
